Terms & Conditions
1. General Provisions
1.1. These Terms and Conditions ("T&C") govern the purchase and use of tickets for the "SLBACON25" event ("Event") organized by IIBA Colombo Chapter ("Organizer"). By purchasing a ticket, you ("Attendee," "You," or "Ticket Holder") agree to be bound by these T&C.
1.2. The Event will take place at a location (“Venue”) chosen by the organizing team.
1.3. The Organizer reserves the right to modify, amend, or change these T&C at any time without prior notice. The change will be updated on the website and attendees will be notified via e-mail.
1.4. In the event of any conflict between these T&C and any other communication, these T&C shall prevail.
1.5. All ticket sales are final, subject to the conditions outlined below.
2. Ticket Purchase and Validity
2.1. Tickets are non-transferable and non-shareable unless explicitly permitted by the Organizer.
2.2. Tickets cannot be resold.
2.3. Valid identification matching the name on the ticket is required for entry.
2.4. Tickets purchased from unauthorized resellers are void and will not be honored.
2.5. The Organizer reserves the right to limit the number of tickets purchased per person.
2.6. Tickets will be delivered to the email address provided during purchase. It is the Attendee's responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the provided email address.
2.7. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced.
2.8. Tickets are valid only for the specified date and time of the Event.
2.9. IIBA members need to provide a valid/ active IIBA member ID to recieve the IIBA member offer, providing invalid/inactive member ID is not acceptable and the no refunds will take place.
2.10. IIT students need to provide a valid/ active IIT student ID to recieve the IIT student offer, providing invalid/inactive student ID is not acceptable and the no refunds will take place.
3. Event Conduct and Venue Rules
3.1. Attendees must comply with all instructions given by Event staff and security personnel.
3.2. Attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and orderly manner. Any behavior deemed disruptive, offensive, or dangerous may result in immediate expulsion from the Event without any refund.
3.3. Venue Rules:
3.3.1. Attendees must adhere to all rules and regulations of the Venue.
3.3.2. Attendees are responsible for any damage caused to Venue property.
3.3.3. Attendees must not bring outside food or beverages into the Venue unless explicitly permitted by the Organizer via written communication.
3.3.4. Attendees must not bring any illegal substances, weapons, or hazardous materials into the Venue.
3.3.5. Attendees must not bring any animals into the Venue, with the exception of service animals informed and approved by the Organizer one week prior to the Event.
3.3.6. Attendees must respect the Venue's noise level restrictions.
3.3.7. Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings. The Organizer and Venue are not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
3.3.8. Attendees must not remove or damage any property belonging to the Venue.
3.3.9. Attendees must not bring unauthorized personnel into the Venue.
3.4. Photography and Filming:
3.4.2. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please inform the registration desk or event staff one week in advance. We will do our best to accommodate, but complete exclusion from all photography or video may not be guaranteed in public event spaces.
3.4.3. Revocation of consent may not be possible once materials are published.
3.4.4. Personal photography and video recording for non-commercial use are generally permitted, provided they do not disrupt the event or infringe on the privacy of others. Professional recording equipment or extensive filming may require prior written approval from the Organizer.
3.4.5. All intellectual property rights associated with this event, including but not limited to, presentations, handouts, digital content, audio/visual recordings, and other event materials, are exclusively owned by the Organizer or the respective speakers. Attendees are prohibited from reproducing, distributing, modifying, or transmitting any such materials, in any form or by any means, without the express prior written consent of the rightful intellectual property owner.
3.5. Liability
3.5.1. Attendees assume all risks associated with attending the Event.
3.5.2. The Organizer and Venue shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property arising from attendance at the Event, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
3.5.3. Attendees are responsible for their own safety and well-being.
3.5.4. Sponsor organizations may operate booths or participate in other promotional activities at the Event. Please note that any interactions, transactions, services, or products offered by these sponsors are solely between the Attendee and the sponsor. The Organizer does not endorse, control, or guarantee any sponsor offerings and shall not be held liable for any claims, losses, damages, or disputes arising out of or in connection with such engagements.
3.6. Alcohol and Smoking
3.6.1. Alcohol consumption is prohibited at the Venue.
3.6.2. Smoking is prohibited within the Venue, except in the designated areas.
3.7. Dress Code
3.7.1. Attendees may be required to follow dress code guidelines as specified by the Organizer to maintain a professional and respectful environment.
3.7.2. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone not adhering to the dress code and shall not be granted for a refund.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
4.1. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule the Event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to force majeure, venue unavailability, or low ticket sales.
4.2. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the Event schedule, speakers, content, or any aspect without prior notice.
4.3. In the event of significant changes, reasonable efforts will be made to notify registered participants on time. However, such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.
4.4. In the event of cancellation, a full refund of the ticket price will be issued to the original purchaser.
4.5. In the event of postponement or rescheduling, tickets will remain valid for the new date(s). Attendees who cannot attend the rescheduled Event may request a refund within a specified period.
4.6. Refunds will be processed (relevant to 4.4 and 4.5) using a payment method defined by the Organizer.
4.7. Processing fee (3%) is non-refundable.
5. Force Majeure
5.1. The Organizer shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these T&C if such failure or delay is caused by force majeure, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, pandemics, or government regulations.
6. Data Collection
6.1. By purchasing a ticket, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data for event management, communication, and marketing purposes.
7. Secure Payments
7.1. It is your responsibility to ensure that your bank or financial institution authorizes the transaction.
7.2. In case of any payment discrepancies or issues, please contact your respective bank first and notify the Organizer if further assistance is required.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
8.1. These T&C shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka and IIBA.
8.2. Any disputes arising from these T&C shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

10. Indemnification
10.1. The Attendee agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer and Venue, their officers, employees, and agents, from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from the Attendee’s breach of these T&C or their negligent acts or omissions.
11. Severability
11.1. If any provision of these T&C is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable.
12. Entire Agreement
12.1. These T&C constitute the entire agreement between the Organizer and the Attendee with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.

By purchasing a ticket for SLBACON25, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
